Saw two movies recently that used the smelling hair thing to make a character look uber creepy. Was wondering why is it girls view that as more creepy than a long stare. Seems to me that both should be on the same creepiness level but yet the staring thing is accepted to a certain degree.

Its natural like after a warm hug. Girls who think that's creepy don't know how to handle an unforced complement as a woman

    Quid Pro Quo, Clarice.

Smelling actually involves "getting close", while a stare is creeper but doesn't seem to bother, because the proximity isn't smaller.

What part of the body is the hair you're smelling on? It matters!

The head? Where else would we try to smell? The armpit?

um, yeah, if it's someone you're hugging, you likely know them, at least as an acquaintance, or you're meeting them. if you say my hair smells nice, hey thanks!

it sounds like hotballa comes up next to women and sniffs in their general direction. lingering stranger + obvious inadequacy issues = CREEPY.

sounds about right. it's only creepy if you don't know the person. if it's someone you know well, then it's usually not a problem. creepy as hell if you're some stranger and walked up to someone and told them they smelled good. think about it for a second...

It can be creepy to, even if you know them.

It should be obvious when it is appropriate, and when it is not.

So when would it be appropriate to take a deep whiff of a girl's hair? I can't picture any girl who would be cool with this. Well maybe if they had some self esteem issues brought on by hanging to their teenage diary rantings of who they are and why they look different than everyone else. I suppose you could always find those kind of people ;)

Lets say you are cuddling on the couch with your spouse, and you smell their hair. Or if you are hugging a person you are in a relationship with.

There is a reason they use such awesome smelling shampoo. They want you to notice.

Am I the only one who likes the smell of women's actual hair, and not their shampoo fragrance? Like, the oils and smell of their scalp. There's a natural scent that naturally turns me on, knowing that it's not an assortment of flowery smells derived from plants, but rather their animal scent.

It's only creepy if the girl hasn't shampooed in a while.

Which mean, yes, I think you're the only one iconoclastic (what does your moniker mean?)

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.
