I don't get to see a lot of the the game action anymore, but I saw some highlights from the Grizzlies game. Francis put some "Iverson" moves on one guy. I also like the way he handled the pressure last night.
Looking good!!!
He is the future and he is here!!!!

Obviously he's not 100% Iverson, which may be good or bad, and he brings things to the game that Iverson doesn't have. But the closest player in the NBA to Francis is Iverson, and that's a pretty good comparison. I have a gut feeling that Francis will put up Jason Kidd-like numbers with more scoring and flash. And yeah, I'm a Grizzlies fan, and I hate to say it, but I honestly think that Francis will become the best guard in the West a few years down the road.

he seems alot more confident (and sure shotted) than iverson

that says alot about confidence, maybe not quite alot about having a better shot since iverson throws up some many shots to get his 30+

francis is a true triple double threat, every game of the season...

How can a human possibly be more confident that Allen Iverson?

Seriously, although Stevie has given me some fits for some questionable decisions and shots, but he displays more poise and calm than Iverson, certainly more than Iverson's rookie campaign. Perhaps that may be due to the fact that Francis has two hall-of-famers and a talented supporting cast beside him, (no disrespect to Stackhouse, but the '96-'97 Sixers weren't exactly solid) but Francis can not only develop into a bonafide scoring threat with showtime flava to match, but he has the potential to become a true point guard.

Never as a Rocket fan have I looked so forward to the future.

He actually reminds me of Kevin Johnson. Johnson could dunk and shoot, and had a wicked killer cross-over. Barkley would probably agree.

Francis plays a KJ type game. He has a good pull up J, shoots well coming off of screens, has major leaps, and has an outstanding crossover that he can do between the legs or in front of his body a la Iverson. Simply put the guy has all the tools and incredible confidence. I challenge you to name one deficiency in his game that cannot be corrected with experience. He has athletecism, good size, quickness, good shot, charisma, and a fearless mentality. He is not the man quite yet, but I think that'll change in the upcoming months.

I think Stevie is only like Iverson in terms of showmanship. Aside from that, and the ability to score at will, they have little in common. Stevie is really beginning to make his teammates jobs easier. He's setting up people for shots and really distributing the ball well. He's also showing a lot of patience these days. I knew he would be great but I had no idea he would improve this much so quickly. Moreover, unlike Iverson, Stevie is keeping his teammates in the game. Allen is in love with his jump shot and his 30+ shots per game tend to take other players out of their rhythm. At the rate Iverson converts his shots, he spends more time shooting his team out of games than he does actually shooting them into it. There were a few times, in transition, where Stevie could have taken the shot and scored but he instead opted to reward a teammate for hustling up the court or playing good D. He is becoming such a leader.
