Just some facts on each teams salary cap situation.
    Houstons (pretty obvious)
    "Houston Rockets
    Maximum cap room: Depends.
    Mid-level exception remaining: $2.6 million
    Bi-annual exception remaining: $0
    Trade exceptions remaining: None
Significant free agents: Goran Dragic, Courtney Lee
Notes: The Rockets are the most interesting team of the 2012 offseason. GM Daryl Morey converted his entire team to cap space and pieces that are easy to move. He is committed to offering Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik free agent contracts, and is intent on landing Dwight Howard from the Magic. Dragic and Lee will be playing elsewhere next season.

Lin once appeared to be a lock to be matched by the Knicks, but this all changed when the team acquired Raymond Felton from the Blazers. Now there is a possibility the Rockets could acquire both Lin and Asik, who would occupy about $16.8 million of their cap space. If the Rockets end up with both players, Morey will have about $15.8 million in cap space to absorb bad contracts from Orlando in a Howard trade. If both Lin and Asik are matched by their respective teams, the Rockets' cap space swells to about $31.5 million.'
