After reading this article on Espn...

The butterfly effect to Nash's PHX departure was only made possible by Dragic. Who happens to share the same agent as Nash.

I thought I should share this.

Quote:
But Duffy knows, realistically, that the speech only did so much good. The Knicks were prepared to part with a player whom the Suns loved in the 2011 draft in a sign-and-trade with Phoenix -- guard Iman Shumpert -- but the clincher for the Lakers might well have been the Suns' fast-moving negotiations with another Duffy client: Goran Dragic. With Phoenix not only extracting a variety of assets from L.A. but also emerging from the Nash breakup with a quality coveted replacement, it became slightly more palatable for Sarver to sign off.

"It probably didn't hurt," Duffy concedes, "that we were going to be a part of the solution for them."

Alogn this same vein, Don Fegan has some connection to the new Nets arena.

This is only a blog by an Orlando guy, but it seems he did his homework. Judge for yourself.

http://truebluenation.com/forum/inde...-is-dan-fegan/

Here is the money paragraph, the background appears to be there for this conclusion --

Quote:
Based off of my research of what is available, this is who Dan Fegan is to the best of my knowledge. IF I applied my cyber security experience to this, with our latest situation I would think that Dwight, Dan , and Brooklyn are all interconnected. Dan Fegan having a stake in his company Lagadère Unlimited, Signing Dwight as a client,Then Lagadère Unlimited partnering up with Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment to support the Nets, then Dwight trys to force a trade to the Nets.... ofcourse that is IF I did such a thing.

I don't see why people are crying about losing dragic. Dragic reached his ceiling with us here in Houston, and I can kinda see things the way Morey sees them.

Morey is an excellent talent evaluator IMO.

Really that is his best quality...he makes good decisions on his actually players/and prospects...He just is quite unlucky(or must be a really poor communicator)...

In the end, the Rockets didn't offer what the Suns offered. So whatever "agent influence" there might have been is likely a moot point. Dragic took the best offer financially.

Also, Houston and Bill Duffy has a pretty good working relationship as far as I know. Duffy was also Yao Ming's agent.

Yes...Duffy has been pretty solid for the city of Houston...

The reasoning behind the article makes it more plausible why Dragic may have left...The 4th year player option might have been another reason, but Duffy was just doing his job appeasing 2 clients and trying to help both the Suns and Lakers out...Duffy also didnt think that the Rockets were scraping BOTH PGs either!...anyways solid article

yeah real smart...Nash to Lakers in the same division while Nash is highly motivated to win a ring, and still in his prime.

uh, i dont think you can say Nash is in his prime...

Also, the article suggests that it did make Nash's leave easier for PHX to handle since the had Dragic in the works and it was going very quickly...

Nash averaging double/double points and assists...it's like he responsible for 40 point production per night if you consider he points scored and points assisted on.

Now Dragic plays them 4 times a year. If Nash purposely tries to demonlish Dragic in head to head match-ups that would be terrible LOL.

Didnt you hear what he said...there is no true Loyalty...when your HOF guy gave the team everything he had...asks you for one thing...which is a chance to be with his family much more plus a chance to be a contender...Sending Nash is the right thing to do...
As much as I hate that it happened...I would love for Nash to win his first...

And about him being in his prime??? might I remind you ...we are currently in 2012...not 2002!

Dragic left the Rockets for one and only one reason..... the Rockets would not offer the same number of years the Suns would.

Dragic wanted to be a Rocket and thought he would be. He worked out with and spent a great deal of time with McHale and Morey.

After the Suns made an offer he gave the Rockets a chance to match and they did not.
