If Asik is matched, and Lin is matched, does that make our prized acquisition of the offseason so far Shaun Livingston?

Our roster looks terrible right now.

Matching always a risk when you chase RFAs. Doesn't mean you should not do it.

They'll sure be spending a disproportionate amount of money on their center position relative to the amount of talent there if they do so. Good luck with that, Chicago!

I'd have to see what he said for the context, but generally guys like Adande aren't breaking news but commenting on it. I'm guessing he said the Bulls will match Asik in the same way that New York media says the Knicks will match Lin -- as in "likely" but not official confirmation inside Bulls camp.

Hopefully, hopefully we also don't sign anybody else. Hopefully we trade martin and scola for picks and no or expiring contracts in return. Then this would be a productive offseason, i will be really pissed if we sign a bunch of players like asik, brooks, foye and whoever else just to give another *****y run at the playoffs. That is of course unless we get dwight, then i'd be ok with signing those players but for now...just tank.

Who cares if they match Asik or Lin? There is no point getting Asik or Lin if we're not contending. It'll just make our tankjob that much easier.
