Thought this would be fun... With all the movement and speculation this off-season, let's have a CF Contest to see who can most accurately predict the Rockets starting lineup on opening day! And for kicks, feel free to also post the starting 5 you would LIKE to see. I'll go first:

Prediction:
1. Jeremy Lin
2. Jeremy Lamb
3. Parsons
4. PPat
5. Asik

Preference:
1. Jeremy Lin
2. Jeremy Lamb
3. Royce White
4. Josh Smith
5. Dwight Howard

I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but here is mine:

PG: Lin
SG: Courtney Lee
SF: Parsons
PF: Scola
C: Patrick Patterson

For those who claim that Jeremy Lin is not a superstar: in the games where Lin was the primary option on his team, he has averaged 24 points and 9 assists per game, and his teams have gone 10-4.

I'm not putting it past Dolan to match our (possible) offer to Lin.

Have a hard time seeing the Knicks letting go of Lin. Gotta bring back the cash cow. Plus, it's NYC. Lin probably wants to go back anyway.

I think you're gonna be just as good at this as any of us, since there is so much in the air right now... My bet is no one will
Get it right bc there will still be more moves coming up!

You may wanna revise yours since news broke recently that we rescinded our offer to Courtney Lee. We probably knew we couldn't pay the salary he would command and enough teams want him. I'm ok with it bc he hasn't shown star potential yet, so he's expendable IMO.

I've seen the Lee news, but I don't rule out the Rockets signing Lee as a free agent. No one knows him better than the Rockets, and the Rockets seem to be high on Lee. It's just that they're even higher on Asik. In some of the reports about this rescinding, it was mentioned that the reason Lee's offer was rescinded was not because we expect him to be overpaid, but because we need to not have his offer on the table in order to sign Asik.

1. Lowry- Can't find a suitable replacement for him, him and McHale put aside differences
2. Martin- Martin rebounds after a dissapointing 2012 campaign and returns to his 23+ numbers
3. Parsons- Parsons continues to be defensive specialist and expands his offensive game slightly
4. Patterson- Patterson has a breakthrough season coming off of surgery, averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds a game.
5. Howard- The Rockets finally land a star. Gave up future draft picks, Lamb, Jones, and Scola.

Thanks for that info! I did not know that. However, I really can't see how we can afford him. From what I've heard, many other teams are high on him and DM needs to make a splash and to me, it seems like the writing is on the wall for Lee.

Funny how getting that one little superstar player can make such a difference.
