T-Wolves have apparently offered Batum $45-50M over 4 years.

Quote:
Portland Trail Blazers restricted free agent forward, Nicolas Batum, has been contacted by the Minnesota Timberwolves and what is being called a "serious offer," has been made and discussed and the two sides will meet in Minnesota later today to deliberate on it further, according to a source very close to the situation.

The detailed figures that are being mulled over is a four-year, $45-50 million deal.

The WEST is going to be good this year if all these guys are moving: Hibbert to Portland, Batum to Minnesota, D-will maybe to Dallas. Maybe if Morey strikes out and Leslie sees everybody getting better in the West, we will really rebuild and keep our rookies :D excited!!

I wonder if the T-Wolves are going to hold on to Wes Johnson and Derrick Williams

Batum played off guard after the trade deadline and he's made it known he want to play there.

It's a good gamble for the T-Wolves.
They desperately need a defensive stopper at the wing,
specifically at the 2 spot..
Fairly Decent 3 point shooter, and another good finisher out on the break at the disposal of Rubio.

Adelman just better not make promises to Batum to feature him in his offense like he did with Trevor Ariza.

The Wolves are making some impressive moves these days. I like what they are building in Minny.

They do have some nice pieces, but it's crazy how much better they could be if Kahn was any good at drafting.

Jonny Flynn over Jennings, Curry, Holiday, Lawson
Wes Johnson over Cousins, Monroe, George, Hayward
Derrick Williams over Valanciunas, some supposedly great trade offers

So, Batum and his agent don't even want to speak to the Blazers front office and yet people are crying about the Rockets front office driving players away. Man that Portland GM is a genius!!
