It was Mimi Rogers who got him into all this mess to begin with. He was never a scientologist, but she was, and she got him into it, and it was all just downhill-racer crazy from then on.

I'm probably one of the last people on Earth to believe this, but I don't think Cruise is gay/bi-sexual. Someone would've blown the whistle on him by now, sort of like Travolta. People are so greedy for money and attention that they'd have no qualms about it. He has actually been accused by two people and took them both to court and WON, easily. I know some men out there who do go through phase were people think they are gay, when in reality they aren't. I know as vain as he is, that probably frustrates him.

He's probably so eccentric and hyper-competitive that he comes off "queerish". Or he's just a really short ultra-dork.

Whether Holmes was his beard or not, the whole setup is too odd for normal people. Though how Cruise fell in deep for Scientology, normal people can fall in deep for fame and multi-millions

I don't know about Cruise being gay -- I just don't see Penelope Cruz dating him for so long if he was. Some of the other chicks he's been with there was an oddness there, but I think that is the scientology.

Now John Travolta... that dude is flaming, but apparently he digs his wife enough to get her pregnant.

He comes off as "gay" because he doesn't date or screw serially, I think people forget he was in the seminary before acting; so he might have just retained those "values" while still wanting to be rich and famous. Also, I think alot of male stars eventually have some drug or alcohol stuff happen to them off the record, and because Tom possibly never has, alot of those same assistants, gaffers and waiters need to think up some other interesting gossip.

That never made sense to me of how people drew those conclusions, because alot of gay man (both closeted and openly) are just as active, if not more than heterosexual men. I don't see resemblance between a man who is not sexually active vs. a man who is gay. Moreover, he's often accused being a part of those weird underground Hollywood/elite sex parties, sort of like in Eyes Wide Shut.

Yeah, he is former Catholic ... so he still could possess some of that Catholic guilt.

He does come off eccentric, but I don't get the feeling that he's attracted to men or have seen anyone present any provoked photos or evidence of him. It's like oh hey you see that metrosexual ranting out in public, WOW he must be gay or something.
