The report mentions that the Kings turned down the Rockets' offer of Kyle Lowry and the 16th pick for the #5 pick and Chuck Hayes.

"If accurate, the report indicates a stunning level of value the Kings are placing on that No. 5 pick as there is very little chance that the player they will get will be better than Lowry, who was a near-All-Star this season. Lowry has made public comments about his disapproval of how coach Kevin McHale handled him last season and as a result, the Rockets have been not-so-quietly shopping him in their attempts to move up in the lottery."

They got their guy in Thomas Robinson, so it's hard to blame them. That would have been really nice to get a top 5 pick plus the Chuckwagon (and possibly HayesFan) back.

Seriously wtf would the Rockets do with Chuck Hayes? We have like 93 power forwards on the rosters already and they all need playing time to develop.

The Rockets are not going anywhere - they don't need another uber role player, they need to develop their youngsters.

Funny how far this was from that ridiculously offer that was out there for a while involving Houston getting Evans and the 5th pick. I like Lowery has a PG just fine, but no way the Kings would have ever considered that.
