Let me clarify my young old draft theory - early picks stay away from older players - later picks 20+ and 2nd round - get older players David Locke @Lockedonsports Looking over draft history - 1999 draft had only 1 2nd round pick play over 10,000 mins in career - Manu Ginobilli 2nd to last pick David Locke @Lockedonsports 1st 5 picks of the 2000 draft - Kenyon Martin, Stromile Swift, DArius Miles, Marcus Fizer and Mike Miller - OUCH ! David Locke @Lockedonsports The 1st round of the 2000 draft produced just 4 NBA starters - Martin, Miller, Crawford and Turkoglu and that might be a stretch David Locke @Lockedonsports 2003 the LeBron draft is maybe the greatest ever. It also is one of the great 2nd round drafts 10 players who made impact in the NBA David Locke @Lockedonsports 2003 draft (LeBron draft) produced 27 rotation level or higher NBA players - average is around 19 per draft |
