oh wait, i almost forgot Hawks had T-mac on their roster this year. Now I'm not sure if they'll get past the Celtics.

Don't get butthurt bro. Reading a lot of posts and threads here obviously people would be content with a hawks-esque team. I'm not saying people would openly choose a 1st round playoff team vs a title contender, but the previous said would obviously be enough for most people. That's how hungry and desperate this franchise has gotten..

No. He doesnt deserve a ring. Of all the players on the list to deserve a ring, tmac should be no where near that list. That's like saying Marbury and Penny deserve rings too.

Chris Webber, Rick Adelman, and that Kings team that got robbed deserve a ring. NOT tmac.

Morey and Adelman screwed T-Mac over. I think getting a ring with Atlanta goes a long way toward compensation.

Tracy screwed himself over by rushing himself back too early.

Lol, he had his coach and GM and team doctor telling him half the season that he was being a wimp, that there was nothing wrong with his knee, that he should suck it up and play. So, he was the good soldier and played. But, there was something wrong with his knee and the team didn't do **** about it and sacrificed T-Mac's health because they so badly wanted a shot at the playoffs with Yao/McGrady/Artest. Rushed himself back early? He told anyone that would listen his knee wasn't right. It was the team that rushed him back. Biggest mistake of Morey's career.

Tmac LOOKS GOOD. He's getting some quality minutes in the playoffs and he'll be the reason the Hawks get past the Celtics.

No.

Where are you getting all of this from? It's more than just the team doctor that told him that his knee needed rest and rehabilitation, especially throughout the summer. The doctors just disagreed that he needed microfracture. There's so much that's not out there, and it's silly to think that Tmac's health issue did not come to a front with the team because of decisions that he's made.

I got slightly mismanaged at my (ex) job semi-similarly. I had performance issues, and I kept trying to point those people to whats REALLY ailing me and causing it, but they kept trying to make it like I'm whining or excuse making. (Companies don't HAVE to actually care. 9 to 5 companies don't have 'rehab' staffs, all they have to do is say if you can't do it then we'll get someone else who will.)

I imagine that McGrady tries to be the strong guy role, but is soft and sensitive and things DO affect him, especially his body breaking down. So he takes a "mind over matter" approach but it just doesnt work and it turns into some internal struggle between what he's gotta do to help himself, and meeting the demands around him.

I'd say I'm not surprised that it was the company doctor on the side of playing through it.

We see in hindsight that the company doctor gave bad advice. It wasn't gettting better. Morey put a higher priority on trading T-Mac away before getting saddled with a contract for an injured player than he did on protecting his superstar's longterm viability. McGrady had to take his health in his own hands to get the surgery he believed he needed because the team doctors were not going to admit it was necessary before a trade could be consummated.

Btw, do you think other players -- free-agents-to-be -- didn't notice that? That faced with a career-threatening injury, Morey doesn't take care of his people, he tries to dump the problem on some other team?

Dude,
This doesn't explain why McGrady constantly says "he's back". Also you forget the answer to your questions are what happened AFTER THE ROCKETS.

Uh-oh.

Tracy McGrady's comeback took a troubling turn when the new Knick limped off the court in the final minutes of his second game.

The cursed Knicks limped to a horrifying 83-67 loss to the Bucks and were booed off the court by a surly Garden crowd after scoring their season low.

McGrady said afterward he knocked knees twice and wouldn't guarantee he'll be healthy enough to face the Celtics tonight in Boston.

"Hopefully it's not sore [today]," McGrady said. "Maybe I'll lace them up and play, but we'll see. We'll see how it feels before the game."

He wasn't healthy with the Knicks. He was somewhat healthier with the Pistons, and he was on and off with the Hawks.
