Just wondering if we should have kept Patterson over Hill, or Hill over Patterson.

At least Jordan Hill rebounds, defends and was working on his mid range game too....plus he can dunk the ball.

Patterson has been learning the 'Scolajuwon Shimmy', and has a sweet jumper, but his play of late has been...well...um, soft. Plus he doesn't rebound or dunk since his injury.

Talking now, not crystal ball future fantasy predictions....who would ya'll like to have backing up at the 4?

    Paterson or Hill?

    ...in hindsight. :)

Imagine Patterson's jumpshot in Jordan Hill's body?

(autocorrect almost put, 'Patterson's jumpsuit on Jordan Hill's body')

    Patterson, no contest.

Higher basketball IQ, better defender, more refined offensive game. Also a year or so younger.

People are overreacting to one bad game.

Yeah, Patterson is rushing shots on offense and he may never be special, but most of his weaknesses you can work on.
Going up strong is teachable. Not rushing your shot is teachable. Getting better rebounding position is teachable.

Hill is a good rebounder with a low basketball IQ, that give you a good game every 4th night or so. Focus & effort are hard to teach.
I also don't understand how some people continue to say that Hill is a good defender, when he gets lost so god damn often.

Just because someone can't play offense but can rebound doesn't mean they are good on defense. Jordan Hill has been nothing but bad on defense his whole career.

WOW!! Before Pat took that nasty fall a couple of weeks ago, he was praise for his improvement & how he was developing. Now he has a very bad game against Dirk(Dirk does that to people) & some of us are looking for the nearest bus to toss Pat under. What gives?

This is a false dichotomy. We didn't have Hill, he was a UFA after this season. Pat is under contract.

did he forget how to dunk? needs to start playing like a power forward and not just showing us his deltoids every time he is rolling his jersey up!

LOL hill is a free agent, we would have lost him after the season.

I have called Patterson Biggie Smalls because he doesn't play like a big man, but he has made some strides this year and shown some low post moves.

He is not a prototypical PF though, he is more of a combo SF/PF.....I think Morris might actually be a better PF if he would be willing to play there some....he has a much more mature post game and is about the same size as PPat.

Of course it will take McHale a long time to figure out what is obvious to some of us fans.

    :)

McHale is a moron. Both Patterson and Budinger shooting under 30% the past few games and he leaves Morris on the bench. The guy has game and its sad he's wasting away on the bench.

Patterson is a 4, he played 5 in college and has never played the 3 except for spot minutes. I agree that he's playing too small out there, but he isn't a tweener.

I'd like to see Pat tried at the 3 when CLee's man starts bombing. See if the extra height with Parsons at SG and Pat at the SF can do anything good.

Tried it last year, he got burnt, a lot. He's just not a 3.

Morris isn't even shooting 30% for his career. This is why you're just a random poster and he's the coach.

That's the Heat and a different situation. The guys who seem to go off on CLee are jump shooters.

Not sure if this poll is serious.

Unlike JChill, Patterson knows how to play basketball.

He is a far far far far superior player both offensively and defensively. Hill is a better rebounder but overall, Patterson is a better player. This isn't even close.

Over the hill? Clearly, PPat is in his mid-twenties.
