The team does have 2 open roster slots. Also, Jeff Adrien is playing in Moscow, no?
BC Khimki vs. Lokomotiv Kuban play today in the Eurocup in Moscow. No names that really stand out on these two rosters. BC Khimki's Chris Quinn was the Heat's PG for several years. Then there's Lokomotiv's Kelvin Rivers an undrafted player in 2009. Other games in Moscow are CSKA Moscow vs. Gescrap BB who play tomorrow in the Euroleague. CSKA have a plethora of players that are either former NBA, drafted, or the Rockets have held interest in the past. They are Milos Teodosic, Sasha Kaun (Cavs draft rights), Nenad Krstic, Ramunas Siskaukas, and AK47. They also have Alexey Schved who was undrafted but some NBA teams supposedly liked. Gescrap BB have Axel Hervelle whose draft rights are held by the Rockets. BC Triumph, another Moscow based team, played yesterday and on the 23rd. I don't know if those games are in Moscow. They're the only russian team to have players on Draftexpress' top 100 draft list. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Dmitry-Kulagin-6154/ http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Sergey-Karasev-6118/ So will Chris Quinn be Dragic's backup for the next several weeks?
Jeff Adrien plays for Khimki. There's a lot of good players on that team, as well as a couple on the Lokomotiv Kuban roster.
What cod said, basically. Adrien plays for Khimki which is located just outside of Moscow (~30 minute drive). Incidentally(?) Khimki is hosting an Eurocup game today. Also, CSKA Moscow -- perhaps the best team in all of Europe -- is hosting an Euroleague game tomorrow. A name I'd perhaps keep an eye on is Milos Teodosic. Guy has his fair share of issues (questionable attitude & work ethic, chain smoker, etc...), but he's clearly an NBA talent.
6'5" point guard. Nice. Although, I don't know if you can be a chain smoker and a quality NBA player. Spoiler I'm not anti-smoking. Just sayins all
Don't know about his PG skills, but a little old. Maybe he can play volleyball with Chase Budinger, though.
Vlade Divac was a chain smoker as well, IIRC. It's not ideal though, that's for sure. I'm not sure about Teodosic's contract status, but he'd be a great replacement for Dragic, should we lose him in FA. On paper that is, as Teodosic isn't the easiest guy to deal with. It'd be interesting to see if he could fit with an NBA team. I have my doubts, but he sure is one of the most intriguing players not playing in the NBA. He's just so talented/skilled. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OHSoTYBIIX4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Remember when somebody posted that they saw Morey having lunch with Teodosic at a restaurant two summers ago? Turned out it was Fesenko, I think.
I remember Morey offered this guy a contract a few years ago when he won the MVP over there. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=186431
So a I understand the information in that thread, Teodosic is under contract until the end of this Euroleague season - then is free to play anywhere? Could be a move to 'cover' Dragic's potential departure in the summer.
Repped. Also, I don't think Russian men will like our Houston women. They are spoiled over there with feminine hotties.
