    Clutchfans,

Dunk contest. Imagine him winning and defending it in Houston next year.

It's apparent that some of the players read the GARM, so we should post ideas to help out.

My contribution: Spikes the ball against the backboard, jumps over a lowered volleyball net, and catches ball and finishes.

That might be the single worst dunk idea I have ever heard. We are all collectively stupider for having read it.

    ;)

I reckon it would be quite exciting if he got the ball at halfcourt, dribbled at a half jog towards the hoop, then goes up off 2 feet to dunk softly with 2 hands. No pump fakes, no reverses, no ring shaking.

Or is that what I'm actually expecting from him??

    Fan vote = popularity contest

    Get Yao involved.

I imagine Bud on the halfway line, when suddenly a ball gets thrown out of the crowd, bounces inside the 3 point line and Chase goes up, catches, 360, dunk.

People look over to see who threw the ball and Yao is standing there smiling.

    Win

Even if Bud doesn't Win the Slam Dunk Contest, Rocket Fans including myself will forever claim Chase as this years Slam Dunk Champion as long as he can Slam his way to the Rockets Home Court Advantage in the Playoffs with a High Seed. ;)

Do something with Jeremy Lin first before everyone else gets a chance.

While hanging on the rim, someone places a ball between his feet.

He swings his legs upward, releasing the ball for an alley-oop to himself.

    Walks off like big papi.

he could even do a dunk first and catch the ball in his feet.

Then flick it up, catch, dunk, walk off like a boss.

I like this idea, but keep it simple. Have Yao standing a few feet away/in front of the the rim holding the ball with one outstretched arm above his head. Chase runs up full speed, leaps from close to the FT line, grabs it and slams it in.

Add a volleyball net dunk and he is sure to win this thing. Both Chinese, and Volleyball players watching this thing would vote for him.

He needs to get Sweet Susie to assist him. She can "prop anyone up."
