    Just looked this up for the first time.
    1 light year = 5,878,625,373,183.6 miles, just under 6 trillion.

    The new planet discovered, GJ 667Cc, which is recognized as the best candidate to support life is 22 light years away.

    yep, a light year is the distance you would travel if you were travelling at the speed of light for a year.

    this means we will never get to that planet lol
