Parsons Rookie vs. Sophomore game?

He's top 10 in minutes per game and games started. He leads all rookies in rebounds/game. For the advanced stats folks, he's also top 10 in win shares and PER.

I think he's absolutely deserving.

More importantly, can Patterson turn things around to where he's also playing in that game? I really hope so.

 

If he continues his prolific rate of tip slams, he'll make it for sure.

 

I think the fact that he's 6'10" is going to really help his chances.

Roster is 9 deep, I believe, and they usually take 3 or 4 "big men". So he's fighting with Tristan Thompson, Derrick Williams, Markieff Morris, Jon Leuer and ... who else? All the international bigs are getting 10 minutes or less per game, and I'm confident he overtakes Leuer based on minutes played and highlight reel tip slams.

 

I think he overtakes Williams as well.

 

Who picks the players for the rookie-sophomore game?

 

Assistant coaches, each team gets one ballot.

 

Not so interesting fact. This year will be the 3rd consecutive year someone from the 2009 draft playing for the Rookie. Unless Rubio injured himself before the game.

Just wondering, if Rubio win the ROY this year, is this the first time 3 players from the same draft win it?

 

I'm pretty sure it would be. That would be funny.

 

If he doesnt make it, then there goes a third of our chances to have a rocket at all-star weekend.

I think Williams is a lock based on name alone. Parsons should definitely have a spot on the roster though.

Why is Kawhi Leonard on the team but Parsons isn't?

 

The teams are mixed this team around. Barkley and Shaq are in charge of their own teams and they're going to draft from that entire pool.
