Different maybe, but I bet you he would have taken heaps of criticism for his selfishness and lousy lockerroom presence (sort of like Kobe post-Shaq)

He did. People said a selfish scorer could never win a ring.

Just saying, LeBron can be one of the greatest to ever play the game without Jordan's level of (borderline unhealthy) hyper-competitive lunacy.

I feel like we're way more inclined these days to tear guys down than build them up, and let's be honest, by most accounts Jordan was (and still is) kind of a prick.
Jordan never left the Bulls. People weren't ripping Lebron when he was on Cleveland, in fact people were defending him by saying how shet his squad was.

Which is a good reason to leave Cleveland then.

If there is something he SHOULD be worried about, is how much Bosh sucks. The dude is absolutely worthless.

MJ didn't come in the league at the age of 18, so I would say he's a few years late. MJ is prolly the king of pricks and kobe may or may not be but until lebron backs up his "4, 5 or 10 championships" talk or goes on a mad scoring run like Kobe in '05. or lives up to the Oscar Robertson potential and averages a triple double. until then, he will always be leDouche, leChoke, the guy who lost to Dirk and the Mavs in the finals despite having 2 other top 5 stars on his team.

I think if he won last year he would've become complacent and not worked on his game as much. Maybe it was better for him as a player that he lost and was humbled.

He's only 1 year late. Last year was his only season with a squad really good enough to win, when you compare the supporting cast to most title teams. His 2nd best player was Mo. Williams dude. Yeah...the guy coming off the Clippers bench.

Oh. So, a player of LeBron's caliber needs two other Olympic team athletes and NBA all-stars in order to have a "squad really good enough to win." Ok. Now I feel more sorry for him. He's even better than I thought.

No, but they typically need to have a sidekick better than Mo. Williams. But I'd love to see you list the championship teams with a 2nd option that bad. It isn't many.

Jordan - Pippen
Magic - Kareem
Shaq - Kobe
Kobe - Gasol
Wade - Shaq
Bird - McHale
Etc

The only difference before was that due to the lack of social media, the world only knew MJ the b-ball player, not MJ the human being. Didn't someone post a video of that dude from MTV's pimp my ride talking about how MJ kept calling him a ******?

I guarantee MJ-nation wouldn't have existed if MJ was born in the 1990's.

I hated Jordan back in the day for reasons that are self apparent. He's still a prick. But, I enjoyed watching him as a 40 year old still able to put up some numbers on people half his age.

Shaq, Antawn, Mo Williams, Z. Please, this wasn't LeBron + D-league players. And now that he's in Miami, when he DOES win a championship, because it'll happen, what will people say? Not that he was the GOAT, but that he went and hooked up with 2 other top 10 players in the league.

By the way, just curious who you think was Hakeem's second option the first year we won?

Honestly, the LeBron led Cav teams had serious opportunities to win it all.

The point of the article isn't about Lebron's performance/stats. It's about him finally realizing his need to improve his skills and maximize his talent.

The post game was ridiculous. The midrange game continues to improve (he was great last year already). If he keeps at it with the midrange/post game, the sky is the limit for Lebron.

Hell yeah! LeBron will be the GOAT when it's all said and done.

Truly a physical specimen. A man-child if you will.
