I appreciate Sam's talent and hope he finds happiness with the team, but if he really believes this... boy, is he setting himself up for disappointment.

Family don't treat each other like assets, for one thing.

Sounds like a good guy, will be fun to cheer for him, even though I personally hate the direction the team is going right now.

Being happy about coming to HOU has less to do with the organization itself and more to do with where the player is coming from...

Keving Martin, Sacramento = very happy
Courtney and TWil, Nets = very happy
Dalembert, no contract = very happy.

    on a sidenote,

can a player be a good person off the court (Haiti relief)
and be a douche on the court?

not saying that he is, just wondering if there are other players you know that have that characteristic.

He seems somewhat starry eyed about the rockets... Which can be good and bad.

Hopefully he's motivated to put in work, perhaps help Thabeet develop. I do think this makes the rockets a fringe playoff team, unfortunately.

It'll be a small trade window for Dalembert from March 1st to 15th

Even though the Rockets are an avg team this guy will add the defensive presence it has been missing. I'm all for it even if it costs 7 million.

I'd imagine it would be a pretty good feeling to go to a new team where you like some of the people involved, and your services are needed, and you know you are pretty good at providing those services.

Dalembert is a good fit for us. He knows it. We know it.

9/10/2 is what Sammy will average this season and we will be the 6th seed in the playoffs facing either the Clippers or Lakers in the 1st round.

7 million per year is a bargain. His stats will go up as far as rebs and blocks this year.
