    ****ing Toyota Center.

Muse was pretty good there, but Silversun Pickups opened for them and we couldn't hear ****.

Yeah the acoustics in Toyota Center are crap most of the time. I don't think I've been to a concert there where I could actually hear the music instead of just bass.

Saw em at the Woodlands once. You wont see too many crowds that big being that mellow very often.

They're playing Frank Erwin in Austin. Also saw them at Woodlands, but ... that was 1995. I don't know about a bucket list, but I am excited to see the show.

I'll for sure be there but I hate being one of the first cities for a concert tour. Seems they never have it in full gear.

    It's Radiohead though, who cares.

I saw them at the pavillion after they came out with in rainbows. I would say that I got a sense they were a bit disengaged and didn't want to be there...
unfortunately this city stands for alot of what they admonish in their music. ah well...I will still be there

Groovy hippie chicks with hairy pits and funyuns in their hemp-bags, and several joints.

    PS - presale?

Acoustics suck at most venues that use subwoofers - for whatever reason, sound engineers feel compelled to scoop out all the midrange and turn the subwoofers up way louder than they normally would. The end result is that the kick drum and the lower range of the guitar and bass guitar are always deafening and muddy. I don't know why sound engineers EQ things this way - if you listen to most albums, the only instrument in the sub-range is the kick drum, while the guitar and bass fill different midrange frequencies (

Subwoofers have their place in movies (for explosions), but I think they're pretty much worthless for listening to live music. I'd wager that if everything was run through full-range speakers only, the sound would 100X better.

IIRC, Thom introduced Karma Police with a mention of Bush and had some words about Clear Channel.

Love the music, don like watchin York spaz.
(though I grew up on Cocker)

I saw the Woodlands show way back when. I don't think the crowd was mellow, I think they were stunned.

thank you, enjoy the show, it is a stunner

Can't wait. Number 1 on my "to see live" list. Even if the sound is kinda bad, I'm kind of glad they picked the Toyota Center over Woodlands, more GA tickets (only concert ive been to at Toyota was Muse, didn't sound too bad to me)

Same here. #1 on my list and the only other concert I've seen at the TC was Muse.
