Teams have been assembled and it's time to trim the field from 24 to 16. In this round, the team that receives the MOST votes will be eliminated from the competition. Review the rosters, then vote for the team which you believe is the WEAKEST.

    arjun
PG - Tony Parker / Toney Douglas
    SG - Stephen Jackson
SF - Kevin Durant / Carlos Delfino*
    PF - David Lee
    C - DeJuan Blair / Andray Blatche

*This roster move is pending the approval of VBG.

    wekko368
PG - Jameer Nelson / Eric Manyor
    SG - Landry Fields
SF - Danny Granger / Mike Miller
PF - Kevin Garnett / Nazr Mohammed
    C - Nene

    VBG
    PG - Jason Kidd
    SG - Eric Gordon / O.J. Mayo
SF - Nicholas Batum / Corey Maggette
    PF - Zach Randolph
    C - Samuel Dalembert / Nick Collison

As a reminder, you're voting on which team you believe should be eliminated, not which team is the best. Voting will end Thursday at 30 minutes past midnight.

N.B.: 2010-11 performance is being used as a baseline for projecting player performance.

How could a team that consist of Nene, KG, Granger and Field be the weakest team?

There must be something wrong here.

I'm not going to go into too much analysis here since we're only trying to figure out the weakest team.

Arjun's team has the weakest frontcourt defense in the league.

I know it's only one person's opinion, but here's Hollinger's opinions at the beginning of the 2010-2011 season:

    David Lee:
    Andray Blatche:
    DeJuan Blair:
And considering that I have one of the best frontcourt offenses with Nene and Garnett, essentially, his biggest weakness is my biggest strength. Additionally, Blair has to play limited minutes since he has no ACL's in his knees. So that means extra minutes for the "inexplicably awful help defender" and the "lazy defender who often leaves his feet."

Conversely, Kevin Garnett anchored the 2nd best defense in the league, and he was ranked the 3rd best individual defender while Nene was ranked the 13th best individual defender:

    http://www.backpicks.com/2011/04/11/the-nbas-top-defenders-in-2011/

Additionally, Jameer Nelson had the 7th fewest defensive errors in the league:

    http://www.backpicks.com/2011/03/15/defensive-errors/

And aside from Nelson, my entire team has size and length relative to their positions.

Offensively, the combination of Garnett and Nene will require my opponent's team to send help defense. And because of that, I've surrounded them with accurate 3pt shooters:

Jameer Nelson (40%), Eric Maynor (38.5%), Landry Fields (39.3%), Danny Granger (38.6%), and Mike Miller (~40%; a thumb injury affected his shooting last year....he should be fully healthy now. He shot 48% from the 3pt line in 09-10 so I feel that 40% should be a safe estimate.)

And in case my offense does stall, Jameer Nelson, Kevin Garnett, and Danny Granger can all create their own shots.

    What's not to like?

Alright...I have a "weak" front line defense....and you have KG and Nene...

At the end of the day I still have

    Tony Parker

    Stephen Jackson

    David Lee

    KEVIN DURANT

Then add in my support of Blair, Blatche, Douglas, Delfino..

What team in the NBA would not orgasm to having that line up?? (besides maybe the Heat or defending champion Mavs)

And who do you have again? Oh yeah, Granger....and KG??

    Nice.

Do you seriously not understand how bad that is for you? Your biggest weakness is arguably my biggest strength.

Offensively, I'd throw the ball down low and score at a high percentage until you were forced to send help defense. And then, I'd kick it out to my stellar 3pt shooters.

How exactly do you plan on stopping that offense?

    alright buddy.

out of these 3 teams..i do not have the weakest no matter what you say.

if anything you should be trying to get voters to vote for VBG, there is no way that i will be voted out with the team i have (unless you cheat and vote against me 50 times)

Kind of a narrow-minded opinion, don't you think? If you truly believe that, you should be able to explain how you'd compensate for your frontcourt's horrible defense.

I voted Arjun because the interior d is lacking. That team reminds me of the warriors. Terrific offense, horrific defense.

If Wekko wasn't such a db towards everybody, I really think VBG would have the most votes.

Wekko's team after acquiring Granger looks pretty nice.

I wasn't a db towards anybody. They asked me for my opinion on the calibers of their team and they got personally offended when I told the truth.

You seem to be the minority in believing that "truth."

I'm just saying, if you had stated what you said in a better way. Gave an actual explanation instead of randomly attacking people, THEN maybe people would like you.

Because honestly, your team is not the worst of the three and you are probably going to lose. I blame your personality.

Nah, that's pretty weak, but at least that had Splitter coming off the bench for support. Arjun has Blair who is a poor defender.

First of all, I don't care if people like me. If I need to suck up to people to get votes, then this game isn't worth playing.

Secondly, I never attacked anyone personally. People would ask me questions and I'd give them honest answers.

Bull****. You randomly called me out and did not even give any explanation why. And when I would disprove your weak arguments, you would continue.

Btw, had you not raped the **** out of Ephryll, your team would be one of the worst.

Go re-read the thread. I made a comment about who I had ranked as the worst teams, but didn't list them. And then I was asked to name who I felt were the worst 3. You were one of them. So I answered honestly.

How was it a rape of a trade? Efryll wanted a PG. I gave up Stephen Curry. Could he have gotten a better PG? No. I gave him the best deal available.

I am honestly shocked Arjun is not losing with that frontcourt. It would absolutely murdered by both of our teams.

His backcourt is also decent but not mindblowing in anyway. Tony Parker and Stephen Jackson aren't really the best compliments to Kevin Durant.
