According to BioWare the demo was released on Xbox LIVE at approximately 2am PST. Microsoft's Major Nelson has officially confirmed the demo is now available for Xbox 360 and can now be added to your download queue.
The PC demo should be available aapproximately at 10am PST and will appear on Origin once it is available.
PlayStation 3 will be the last console to receive the demo, with an expected release time around 4pm PST.
I think it's cool that they release demos, but if I know I'm getting the game I never download it. I don't really know why. I've downloaded a demo for a couple games I was on the fence about though.
I know I'll be getting Mass Effect 3, though, so I will just wait.

Won't play the demo, didn't read one article about the game. Haven't looked for any information since E3.
I really wanna get surprised by everything and discover it myself, haven't anticipated a game that much in yeaaars.

I remember starting the original Mass Effect thread way back when and trying to convince people of its awesomeness. Glad to see that so many jumped on board eventually. It's an amazing series. Can't wait to wrap this bad boy up.
I'm pretty excited. ME2 was a huge improvement over ME, especially with the whole "hey, find 50 medallions and 60 minerals scattered all over the galaxy LOL" assignments.
I hope they have more choices for armors in ME3. I was a bit underwhelmed by the different choices in ME2, but it's much better than having to worry about purchasing different armor sets and weapons like in ME.
Also just found out EDI will be a robot in this one. It would be bad ass if ALL your companions/crew fights along side you in the final battle, instead of just picking 2.

I'm so excited to play this game... Once I finish ME3 with my current save file from ME2/1 (all crew members survived woot) I'm going to play it all again from one to three.
I played the demo. It was decent. It was like playing COD and Gears at the same time with the running and wall bouncing and all that. I want the game but I'm not sure if its a continuing story. I would have to play the other two first.
I'm about to replay all of ME2 using my ME1 saved file first. Do you know what all gets transferred over from ME2? I think characters that didn't die and maybe relationships.
Mass Effect was one of the first games I got when I started using GameFly. ME 2 was coming out at the same time so I pretty much played both back to back. Really looking forward to the 3rd. I'm buying this one and will probably buy used copies of the other 2 and do what ashiin is doing, going back and playing all 3 consecutively.

Relationships, previous teammates, all your side weapons and armors from 2, and a ton of decisions from 1 and 2.
I've had my Collectors Edition on order since the day after they announced it. Can't wait. If anyone wants to do some multilayer on either the demo or the actual game let me know. Live handle is Gunslinger57.
