http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...-helping-to-tune-LeBron-James-?urn=nba-wp7284 I'm really getting tired of this. Why can't the Rockets just lock him up as a coach!?!
At least Hakeem is getting the respect he deserves from great NBA players. As for the people wondering why you don't hear about him working with Rockets players; maybe he does, but the media would rather write about Hakeem working with Kobe, LeBron, and Dwight, rather than Jordan Hill, Hasheem Thabeet and Patrick Patterson.
its probably because the Rockets players have no potential .. Don't think the dream wants to ruin his name trying to fix Thabeet
Someone should hire him. Clutch mentioned this or talked about this awhile back on radio(7/11). Here ya go: (Start at 12:16 or 12:33--your choice) ...
Yep. Also, the occasional 1-on-1 gig has got to be an easier lifestyle than what's required of a regular NBA coach, with traveling, game preparation and all that stuff.
I had posted this before. Finally... If there ever was a player that could benefit from Hakeem, Lebron is it. The guy has all the physical attributes to be a dominant post player (big, strong, quick, and athletic) like Hakeem. He should be punishing players inside the paint. Post play should be the go to move for Lebron. Not a 30 footer brick shot.
Nobody on our team has the talent level to even attempt a workout with Hakeem. Hakeem would probably laugh them off.
thabeet's already working with CD and Hakeem last I heard. <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" id="video" width="320" height="280" data="http://www.myfoxhouston.com/video/videoplayer.swf?dppversion=11266"><param value="http://www.myfoxhouston.com/video/videoplayer.swf?dppversion=11266" name="movie"/><param value="&skin=MP1ExternalAll-MFL.swf&embed=true&adSizeArray=300x240&adSrc=http%3A%2F%2Fad%2Edoubleclick%2Enet%2Fadx%2Ftsg%2Ekriv%2Fsports%2Fdetail%3Bdcmt%3Dtext%2Fxml%3Bpos%3D%3Btile%3D2%3Bfname%3D090926%5Folajuwon%5Fworks%5Fwith%5Fgrizzlies%5Fthabeet%3Bloc%3Dsite%3Bsz%3D320x240%3Bord%3D446015178763673150%3Frand%3D0%2E9747728651176105&flv=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emyfoxhouston%2Ecom%2Ffeeds%2FoutboundFeed%3FobfType%3DVIDEO%5FPLAYER%5FSMIL%5FFEED%26componentId%3D130687185&img=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia2%2Emyfoxhouston%2Ecom%2F%2Fphoto%2F2009%2F09%2F27%2F090927hakeemworkout%5Ftmb0000%5F20090927135613%5F640%5F480%2EJPG&story=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Emyfoxhouston%2Ecom%2Fdpp%2Fsports%2F090926%5Folajuwon%5Fworks%5Fwith%5Fgrizzlies%5Fthabeet&category=news&title=090927hakeemworkout&oacct=foximfoximkriv,foximglobal&ovns=foxinteractivemedia&headline=Olajuwon%20Works%20With%20Grizzlies%27%20Thabeet" name="FlashVars"/><param value="all" name="allowNetworking"/><param value="always" name="allowScriptAccess"/></object><p style="width:320px"><a href="http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/090926_olajuwon_works_with_grizzlies_thabeet">Olajuwon Works With Grizzlies' Thabeet: MyFoxHOUSTON.com</a></p>
I've seen this question before and I remember someone mentioning that Hakeem likes to travel back to his home so being contracted means he wouldn't have his freedom to do that anymore. He only trains individual players from what I remember and his time is probably very expensive.
Lebron working on his post game huh. Cool stuff. He will definitely be that much better if he can establish some moves with his back to the basket down low. Why doesn't he work on his mid-long range shooting more as well? I think this is the only thing thats stopping him from establishing himself as a true clutch player.
So True. It wouldn't let me rep you cause I repped you 77 times already. I don't think in his playing days, he got the credit that he rightfully deserved. I think it took Kobe reaching out to finally get his kudos.
