He could easily take minutes from Artest...

Mike Brown would be f--ked though. I can't see him being able to handle the personalities already on the team.

"Metta World Peace" was coached by Mike Brown in Indiana the year "Artest" won Defensive Player of the Year. I see them trying to make something of those ties again. Similar to Artest in Houston being coached before by Adelman.

I see LA being a deflated franchise. They've cleaned house of the previous regime, Kobe is on personal silence protest not speaking to the media about the Lakers developments. McGrady going over there might actually have the reverse effect of creating a little buzz in building.

Or it can flame out hard like Francis going back to the Rockets

I'd trust the ball in his hands over Derek Fisher's hand.

    well, slightly more, not much.

With him running point, they would have an extremely tall team.

I'd let Fish finish the game.

Maybe Tracy can finally run point?
I've always wanted to see a Tracy-Kobe combo. Even if both suck at this point of their careers. :p

The real question is whether those teams want him.

Mcgrady should either call his cousin and see what teams they can finish their careers with together or just go back to Orlando and finish it there that's if they want him. I mean I remember in an interview he said he'll think about returning if that g.m was gone. Thinly about it Mcgrady.

Brown was an assistant though, wasn't he? not quite the same as Adelman reeling Artest in and keeping him in check , IMO.

I agree completely with your assessment on the Lakers. they really took a step down from prominence in the eyes of the league and the fans the way the fizzled out of the playoffs. they are definitely taking steps backwards

He's just another Nazgul now, albeit not as bad as Lebron or Bosh.

He's like that really rude, stupid kid that shows up uninvited to your party.

    Absolutely no shame at all.

Everyone should say "HELL YES!" to him just to get his hopes up thinking he has a chance.

    NO.

Lakers are a near-lottery team next season.

If they trade Pau it would be:
    T-Mac
    Kobe
    Metta
    Odom
    Bynum

Pretty good shot at the title.
