First!..... WE have to give it to Morey. He does pull off some serious gems in the draft. Even though everyone is always ready to criticize before the guys have even played.
He's way too professional to go that route. Patterson is the type of player that gets better every season.
oh you mean the guy who let him chill on the bench for half a season for no reason? I wonder why DM is his staff are gold with big men. Scola, Landry, PP....and hopefully Thabeet as well. Honestly DM's become my favorite rocket. As long as he's in charge and Les Alexander is buying into his philosophies we're definitely in good hands.
imagine if morey was able to pull of that 'reported' deal for cousins on trade night. patterson/cousins frontline you would be set for years
All three players you mentioned were brought along slowly, so him "chilling on the bench" was just part of the process.
patterson is doing what is expected of him....keep up that work pp....atleast he isnt Adam morrison....amen
it coulda been worse.. he could've been getting the twill treatment where he's so far at the end of the bench Rick needs a phone to call him to play 1.1 minutes of garbage time.
i respect morey a ton, but to be fair though patterson was originally expected to go somewhere around 14-15
I was indifferent. I do remember Jay Bilas' eyes light up saying Pat was NBA ready and that it was a solid pick; He was more excited than anyone else on the panel.
Thanks for the link. That was one of the better articles written by a fan that I've read. I agree with most of his analysis of Patterson except the foul trouble part. Patterson has only had three games where he had 4 personal fouls or more. That's pretty amazing for a rookie.
Playing great again tonight. Love his versatility...the rook is telling others where they need to be on offense. Wow.
[Yahoo] Houston Rockets fan beat: Rookie Patterson ascending to new heights i love the credit that they're giving Morey and I love the fact the pat pat is getting some attention. He really deserves the praise after working his butt off when luis was out. dunno if this has been posted yet but it's a good read and makes me feel good about our GM... I think patterson is on his way to becoming an excellent post player and eventually will become a starter on this team.
