Last night I went to this place called Diem Lounge and seen Bobby Sura. My friend was talking to him and took a pic with him but I didn't even recognize him until he told me it was Bobby Sura. He kinda looked cracked out lol.

Hopefully not an offensive question...why do some players decide to live in Houston after they retire...and not in places like San Diego or Miami or...

Houston is a very affordable city, they get bang for their buck when it comes to real estate. Also, there is not state income tax which is a big one.

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like Sura had a coming out party in that picture. Hey, this would make John Amaechi proud.

Bobby looks like he fell off. Hopefully, he saved that NBA money.

It was good having him on the Rox during our first season with Tmac.

Why does he look like he fell off?

i think they would rather get away from the media and the spotlight. Houston's a good city to live in once you're just trying to raise a family. Plus, they all probably have vacation homes in some of those other cities or can afford to go out there whenever they want.

I think Sura just stuck around because houston was his last stop, but he probably has a home back home or somewhere else also.

He doesn't look like the gritty Bob Sura who was a beast when he played with us, that's all.

Nothing that important.

I do miss the good ol' days though. This season has been tough to watch. Some Bobby Sura hustle would be great for the team.
