Since Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" is now the all-time most watched youtube video of all time, I'll assume you've all seen it (even though I just saw it for the first time today.) Here, from H-Town's very own DeBakey Medical Center, a grad student with attitude creates the following with basically no money and a great misappropriation of lab supplies for all her outfits (biohazard bags, unopened disposable pipettes, etc.) <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Fl4L4M8m4d0" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe> Maybe too many inside bio-science jokes, but I LOLed. Here's the original. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qrO4YZeyl0I" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>
Had never seen the original video, but... Original video white latex dancing peeps remind me of: Spoiler Pan's Labyrinth no-eyed monster white guy: Spoiler
Hilarious. Those indentured servants need their healthy release. Make yourself go viral from within the lab. But I can see someone saying, "you're corrupting our otherwise happy students, getting them to sing 'Bad Project' with you." this could snowball.
Oh whoops, sorry. so so old, am I. heyp, yeah, there are already people sniping that she "would finish her thesis faster if she wasn't making videos," and "what a waste of government money." what they don't get is that these skits are required of students at certain conferences. It used to be just something you did on the spot, on stage, but now everyone is making videos, and there's an arms race of sorts (at least in molecular biology labs.)
I heard 2 professors talking about this video today. I was momentarily stunned. Then again, I was in the med center.
