    I haven't heard anything about us signing or us making a legit attempt to sign someone with it, it runs out very soon any ideas?

    I'm sure behind the scenes Morey is constantly on his phone calling people with offers, he just doesn't want anything that is not set in stone to be out in the public.

    We don't have enough roster space to sign anyone and it's not like there's anybody out there worth getting.

    The better question is: is there anybody we can sign for the exception that's better than the 15th man on our roster? If yes then you can cut Ish or trade someone else for a pick and sign that guy. Considering its the middle of the season already though I'm pretty sure almost all good FAs have been signed already.

    Can we trade the injury exception by itself? Maybe we can get a 2nd rounder off of it...

    It can be traded for a single player making up to $5.765M. Not for picks.

    I'm thinking that Morey is probably waiting on another trade so that he wouldn't have to cut anyone. If it comes to where he has to cut someone, make it Ish and use the excepton for Thabeet.

    I see your "....." and raise it a "....." because I'm pretty sure Bima didn't say this was the only thing you could use it for. He was specifically addressing a question about whether it could be used straight up for a pick and he was saying"no, but it can be used straight up for a player."

    At least, I'm pretty sure that's what went on right there.

    Working on a trade with Denver for Melo, using the DPE to take additional salary off their hands and get them under the lux tax along with Yao's salary. Once that falls through he's likely to see what else materializes.
