seems more like a political rally. also, why are Eric Holder, who is currently suing the state, and Janet Napolitano, head of DHS (albeit a former AZ Gov) speaking? this was not a terrorist attack.
...thank you for acknowledging President Obama's undefeated record against terrorists. Now it's time for you to thank us for voting for him.
Seriously man... this is ridiculous. Do we really need a debate about a freaking logo? Can we just remember the people we are mourning and actually try to unite for once.
so its ok for a terrorist attack to have a logo? wowza. If it was a really good logo i'd be annoyed. but that one looks like it took 10 minutes to make.
We can send a formal request to ATW to derail all new threads with photos and updates on Heidi the cross-eyed opossum?
It's common for large memorial services to have their own logo. Here's the graphic for the biggest one I ever worked on: Spoiler In addition, this was on the cover of the program: Here's another one from Southern Cal: If you're going to have a service like this, you need a program. What do you want them to put on the program? Seems like the logo that has been picked is exceedingly simple with no images and as little emotional baggage as possible. What would you prefer? A blank page? It's pretty obvious where the wingnut media is going with this... they are laying the groundwork to criticize the service because it worked with Wellstone's and they're ready to try it again. That a Dem President will be the main speaker adds fuel to their fury.
Probably because the Attorney General and Head of DHS have jobs that go well beyond terrorism. You might start with a Government 101 book and learn what exactly their jobs are before regurgitating ignorance.
You have serious issues. It's scary how far people in this country will go to save face. We're supposed to be on the same team; this is America.
Actually a great speech by Obama thus far...I liked the part about reflecting on ourselves and being better people to our families and others. You could tell talking about the little girl among others was heartfelt. It seemed genuine.
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/...ze-free-tshirts-at-tucson-service.php?ref=fpa seriously, if you have a problem with this memorial service or the "logo", then you're part of the problem.
Just started watched his speech on the DVR now that it's half time on the Rockets game. I really liked it. I will also say that Republican governor Jan Brewer who's politics I absolutely hate and has been embattled with the Obama administration over a number of issues was very gracious and showed a lot of class in welcoming Obama, and struck exactly the right tone. From what I've seen the whole event seemed to have been handled very well. I'm happy about that. It was also great that Obama was able to give more good news about Giffords recovery saying that she opened her eyes for the first time tonight.
