I haven't been following much basketball, but when I looked at the standings and see that Cleveland has a 7-9 record, I was impressed. I remember reading and hearing about how they will be the bottom feeders and go back to their old sore-losing selves pre-Lebron. Good job, Cavaliers!
Well, they were a 60-win team with LeBron, and look to be at best a 40 win team without him. I am surprised, but I suppose I shouldn't be.
What are you implying? That they suck now without Lebron? Of course they do without Lebron, but people were expecting them to do much worse. Do you remember the pre-Lebron years when they had trouble winning 30 games a season? I will make sure I don't miss the game against Miami on Thursday.
Mo Williams was an all-star. Session is back to being....Sessions Hickson is a man. Flopojao look ok.
I am surprised at how well they've played so far. But then again, the rest of the league hasn't had a chance to figure them out yet. I think teams without superstars can start out well, but will usually fall off as the season progresses. The Rockets were 20-13 last year and playing well early before falling off and going only 22-27 the rest of the way.
Mo Williams didn't deserve to be an all-star. Even then he was only a second injury replacement all-star.
It surprises me even more that you would start a post on a 7-9 team and say they surprise you....They wont win 30 games and neither will we!!!!!!!!
I thought they would win less then 20 games before the season started. they might win 30 the way they are playing. I think the whole team is playing with a chip on their shoulder for obvious reasons.
I'll remember to revisit this thread when they get past 30 wins this season. It's still early in the season, but this is some work they have done. Remember, they also lost Zydrunas, who was their center for so long.
They play hard. We saw how many games you can win only plkaying hard with Houston. So no, I am not suprised.
Contrary to popular belief of lebron nuthugger, he had a more than decent supporting squad, and they are proving it
Not really. They had good chemistry, and they play in the East. LeBron probably adds 20+ wins, but I didn't have doubt they'd be capable of a .500 season.
they do surprise me. but even if they continue this current pace, they are still a whopping 20-25 games down from the years with lebron. that's a huge difference for ONE player.
their situation is similar to the Rockets last year, everyone expecting them to be the worst team in the league yet come out looking impressive.
