At least when Yao Ming is out. I've been trying to say this for a couple years now, Luis Scola needs more touches!! I'm talking #1 Option touches. He has all the tools to be our goto guy. He has the post moves, the sweet stroke from mid range and the mentality to put the ball in the bucket.

AB is our PG. It's better for us if he doesn't take the most shots. Martin is a great scorer but tends to fade when it gets down to crunch time. Yao is our guy....for 24 minutes. So when Yao's not in the game or on a back to back, we should use Scola as our "Yao replacement".

I know its only three games, but look at the numbers Scola is putting up. 24pts and 14rebs. I mean, that is MVP numbers right there. Couple that with his performance at the WBC and there should be enough reason to why Scola should be our #1 guy.

    Scola top 5 in scoring....Scola top 3 in rebounds.....Scola 1st in FG% (min 40 shot attempts).....Scola tied for 1st with double doubles....Scola 1st in efficiency

i agree, has to be the top option

This should have been done since last year. Scola has always bee very smart at finding the seams and spaces in the offense so that he always seems to be open and ready to score, if only his team mates, especially Brooks, were smart enough to realize this.

It beats me why they only got to realize this now. Adelman has to be partly blamed for ignoring Scola too.

It's very encouraging to see Luis scoring big and efficiently. The defenses will adjust to him, sooner or later. Martin and Luis need to be our top options when Yao is out. Aaron needs to distribute more, and still look for his shot.

I said this like five games ago in Pre Game thread. We never feed him enough. He commands double teams and can pass out of the well which just opens up everything. We need Yao and AB back and thing will turn around. :)

Can Brooks live with that when he returns?

We need to get rid of the iso ball from Martin and Brooks. Scola and Yao need to be the horses when they are in, and hopefully by the 4th quarter Brooks and Martin can get some open looks.

One of the two guys with injured ankles might not agree.

Even if Scola does become the go to guy, still not going to be that good of a team...probably.

Um. Isn't he the #1 option??

Considering he can get his shot out of the post up while Martin needs to get the ball off a pick makes sense to me.

Wait, Rick hasn't made the most consistent player with the best back to the basket game the number 1 option? Adelman deserves an extension ASAP!
