They are the three biggest Chinese martial arts stars right now but they have very distinctive styles. Jackie Chan is the master of comedic Kung Fu, Jet Li is the most graceful and traditional, while Donnie Yen is the most aggressive and physical.

As far as acting I think Jet Li is the best, Jackie Chan has kind of pigeonholed himself and even in dramatic roles still doesn't seem all that serious, Donnie Yen most of the time seems like a stiff tough guy even in Ip Man where he is supposed to be a wise and caring Shifu.

So who do you like more?

Jackie was probably the most entertaining.

I think Jet Li had better roles quantity wise than Donnie Yen (who was awesome in Iron Monkey)

Tony Jaa cus he's a monster beast. His stunts are sick.

[edit] I didn't realize we were talking exclusively about Chinese actors. That's a bit restrictive...if that is the case Jet Li. Pretty silly topic though.

    Jackie Chan because:

    1. He was probably the best fighter of the 3 in his prime.
    2. He was willing to do ANY stunt in his movies. A huge number of his stunts (and injuries he's sustained from them) have been life-threatening, even the comedic ones.
    3. He's the most entertaining, choreography-wise.
    4. He sang the Chinese version of "I'll Make A Man Out Of You" in Disney's Mulan. It's awesome. That counts for something.

Jackie Chan is seriously being underrated... he's had the most classic films of all-time. how can you not love that guy? plus he's had an animated cartoon which kicked ass.

He might be the best overall athlete of the three but Donnie Yen is the one who seems like he could kick the most ass.

    Jackie Chan (for the win)

More notable films; crossover appeal; comedic style (Buster Keaton-esque) combined with martial arts - creativity points; bigger star than the other two; Several Hollywood blockbusters under his belt (with him as the star); he was in Cannonball Run; he's almost 60 and still going; he's had gigantic endorsement deals; he's had his own cartoon series; and etc.

Jackie Chan was not just an extremely underrated fighter in his prime, he is also far and away the greatest entertainer of the three.

Jet Li kind of pigeon-holed himself into the same carbon-copy serious fighter character throughout his entire film career, while Jackie Chan has shown more versatility even though he does tend to do a lot more comedy. Plus being his own stuntman counts for something.
