she's been looking good of late, but will it be in time for the playoffs??? Tzekova took nearly all of last season and with just the last couple of weeks of the season, was i really comfortable with her in the middle. maybe its too early to worry, but i'm a little concerned with her progress. i hope that her unavailiblity for training camp and lauguage barrier issues might prove to be more than we can overcome this season keeping in mind the compressed schedule and apparently no practice time of late.

does this concern anyone else???...will Monica return... we she be playoff ready with so much time on the IL. is Tiffiny Johnson enough???...i havn't forgot Tammy Jackson, but come on, honestly , in a 5 game series...she'll only make it about every third game for quality minutes at best ( NO disrespect for the ultimate warrior ).

i am hopeful that Elena will prove to be all we need to complete the task of a fourth title...i'm just a little concerned and wondered if any of you had any other thoughts on this matter.

The sooner in the season she starts the more she will be used to it later. She is a better fit with the Big 4 because she is far better at running the floor than Johnson. Van needs to start her ASAP.

outlaw,...what do you think about Monica...is she just holding an spot only to be cut next season, or will she return? i havn't heard anything. she seems happy at games...i know that doesn't mean that she's not hurt, but is she not that confident in the post with her eye and being over cautious with the mask. maybe she just doesn't feel comfortable with the mask,...i probably wouldn't.

Like Tammy Jackson, I think Monica Lamb is Houston's secret weapon in the playoffs. Lamb was a key contributor to Houston's first title.

"Get your treebark-thin elbows out of the lane, Leslie."

Between Jackson, Lamb, and Johnson, Houston should have enough bangers in the middle to compete with Griffith, Tangela Smith, Byears, Leslie, and Milton.

Actually Monica joined the team in the 2nd year not the first. I think Monica is pretty much done. I really want the Comets to make a trade for Rhonda Mapp from Charlotte. The Sting are a pathetic 2-11 and should be looking towards next season. I'd give them TIffani Johnson and our first and second rounders for Mapp. It's a high price but Rhonda is a talented player and only 30 years old. She is the banger/rebounder we need. We actually did trade for her last year but the trade was cancelled because Kara Wolters failed her physical and the Sting rescinded the trade.

I like Mapp, too.

If there is a trade, it will most likely be after the WNBA All-Star game, the NBA draft (June 28,2000), and around August 1, 2000 (during the NBA trade period).

Carroll Dawson is one busy guy.

We could have picked up Mapp last year with that Kara Wolters trade, too bad that fell through

i know outlaw just mentioned it, but how much of a real possibility could that really be. isn't tiffiny from the charlotte area too. wasn't she down here visiting from one of the carolina's. we really don't need any draft picks next year anyway. if Tzekova and Z woman show up next year, that's two first round picks alone. i forgot all about that last year. how soon could we trade...let's do it now.

Does anyone know if Tzekova will be available to the Comets next year? Will she be able to get to the U.S. or does she want to? I miss her being in there. I thought she was developing nicely last year and am disappointed she did not come back.
