the lynx are living up to dirty players reputations as usual. katie smith had Tina in some WWF style manouvers and on the floor at least three time in the second half alone. i don't understand people who think that women hoop's isn't exciting. if you can't see the determination in these ladies and how they literaly at time fight out there pushing/pulling and tugging and literialy end up on the floor two seconds from technical fouls on both of them and somehow the coach standing twenty feet away gets the technical called on him,GEEZSE!!! don't get me wrong,...i'm a guy,...i enjoy the showboating and dunking in the NBA, but i do appreaciate the women's game for what it is as well, and pardon me, but i find it just as exciting. its different, and in a great way. the game tonight was a hard fought battle. we were never in any doubt of losing the game, but, the lynx didn't just give it to us either. quality basketball, quality entertainment, money and time well spent.

I'm with you! This is not the NBA (duh) but that doesn't make it any less exciting to me. In general, it's not as flashy and the athletes may not be as spectacular in their moves (yet - in time, the women will develop more athleticism just as the men did) but it is very competitive and that's what gets the adrenaline going. This is not the CBA (as in minor league), these are the best female basketball players and some of them (Swoopes for one) are already just as amazing to watch as NBA stars. As more girls grow up aspiring to be WNBA stars and working on those playground moves, the level of competition will continue to rise. I love to watch these ladies go at it. This is basketball and I love the game! Besides, when it comes to summer sports, it beats the hell out of baseball. IMHO ------------------ |
