Thank you comets97:-)))))))))

Question:Is it true that you guys don't have local T.V coverage for the comets?

Yeah the team is looking good.Tangela Smith is getting scary. She is really coming into her own.

Detriot gave us a scare but the gals pulled through.Would you believe that through the first 7 minutes of the game The Monarchs were shooting 9%?Yet they still won.Unbelievable.

although nothing has been communicated properly to the fans via newspapers or tv...what happened is that the local tv coverage that was under contract to the WB ( Warner Bros. Network ) the contract is over and the WB wants to add regular programming of local news to compete with the big networks NBC,ABC and CBS here in houston. so i ASSUME because nothing has printed in newspapers that our owner is working on it. so yes, your right,...as of now we have no local coverage of our beloved Houston Comets. HOWEVER,...in defence of our owner,... whom i believe to be the best owner in town as well as league wide ( NO OFFENCE, slugking...i know your owner's have done great things for you guys as well with the additions of C-WEBB and Jason Williams as well as a new practice facility there i read about last year) Les Alexander (the owner) has not been afraid to pull the trigger on anything to make his clubs better. from Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley to Scottie " WHINEY A.." Pippen. obviously not all deals worked out. but he has done everything in his power (and pocketbook) to give houston the best sports teams to be proud of. unfortunatley, here in houston, and i don't know why other than to say its just politic's in general that are too much to get into with this post ( try reading some of the stuff under the saveourrockets forum back at the main menu at bbs forum if your intersted...i understand if your not) we will get another chance to vote yes for a new basketball arena in november probably and then everthing will settle down. i know that local coverage is important to him espcieally with the referendum vote coming up in november and i hope something works out before the end of summer, but for now there is no local coverage

just wanted to add that from what i understand,... we have been fortunate that Mr. Alexander has given us every game home and away of our Rockets the past two years weather or not the Compaq Center was soldout or not!!! ( how many owner's would do that!) so, with that said, i believe its in the works...but i know he's distracted with the vote coming up in meeting discussions concerning the financing the new stadium with the city and courting other cities just to keep Houston city officials honest and give him the best deal as any of us would if we were in his shoes...the rockets and comets aren't going anywhere...its just political posturing. (i hope) we'll get our local coverage back...just alota stuff going on right now.

i knew that Sheryl would get most of the votes, that's pretty much a no brainer. i've acually met Cooper, Tina and Sheryl a couple of times and although all three are very very nice. Tina struck me as the most sincere and sweetest. i too think sheryl is probably the most attractive, but i couldn't help but give Tina a vote for that and those lips too. OH YEAH!
