talk about bad timing, torn her ACL in april, so she won't be availible until next year. the comets brass put her on the IL to retain her services for next season. ( this info via the chronicle ) i do remember her when i went to the open practice and we played the charlotte sting. i don't remember being real impressed but the chronicle reports that she played in dallas somewhere and overseas for the past two years and apparantly has made great improvements and may very well fit our system. i have no opinion, cause i don't know anything about her, do any of you know anything?...
also,...Chancelor hinting that Tiffiny Johnson may have a shot at making the final roster...how does this effect our predictions of what the final roster will look like. Chronicle is still implying that Tzekova and Chikrova are still coming, that only work visa's are holding them back at the present time.
5) Polina Tzekova/Elen Chirkova/Tiffiny Johnson
4) Tina Thompson/Andrea Garner
3)Sheryl Swoopes/Amaya Valdemoro
2)Cynthia Cooper/Renee Robinson
1)Janeth Arcain/Conquese Washington
IL) Nekeshia Henderson
this leaves off, Tammy Jackson, Monica Lamb, Jennifer Rizziotti, Dena Head, Latina Davis, Jawann Kelly-Gibson, Abbie Willenborg. looks like a Black Friday Massecre.
what do you guys think???

looking at my last post, i had some additional thoughts.
Tiffiny Johnson will diffinantly help out with the likes of Tausha Mills in Washington and Kim Hamptons. But i still want Tammy Jackson on the final roster even if she has to ride the IL all season. i feel sorry for Monica Lamb, i really do but this is pro basketball and a championship is at stake this season. everyone will be gunning for us and we all ready have too many liablities in new talent to bring along in Chirkova, Johnson, Garner and who ever makes the final cut at the point. whe need proven experience there in waiting if needed. the ultimate warrior gets my vote.
let me have it guys and gals...

With that many players (to cut), Houston can package a couple of them for a quality player or higher draft pick. I do not know about the other players, but Rizzotti, Jackson, and Lamb have trade value.

That's a good point UBlue. Is a trade possible instead of just cutting all of them?
I wish I knew more about some of these new players but I do know that Tammy Jackson brings a lot of intensity to our team and I'd hate to see her go. She's a real blue-collar kind of player.

They all had trade value before the draft, and they all have a lot of talent, but the other teams are no dummies. They will pick up the leftovers after they've been cut. Too bad. It may come back to bite us.

Renee Robinson is no shooting guard. She's only 5'5 for one thing and averaged less than 5 points in college. I don't think she should make the team. Kelly Gibson perhaps.
Here's my team:
C: Tzekova, Chakirova, Johnson
F: Thompson, Garner
F: Swoopes, Valdemoro
G: Arcain, Washington
G: Cooper, Gibson
IL: Jackson, Henderson*
*I don't agree with this decision by Van.
