A lot of people have requested the forum .... I don't profess to be a big Comets fan so I won't be moderating the forum -- if there's enough interest when the season starts hopefully a moderator for the forum will emerge.
BTW, amazing how many frauds out there have already swindled your ideas.

Putting a Comet forum was inevitable, what with my loving devotion for Tina Thompson and Sheryl Swoopes.
Nah, seriously, I'm glad we have a seperate forum, so Comet discussions won't be relegated to the "Hangout" forum.
How can you not like a Houston team that has won THREE championships in a row? Sure, the WNBA isn't at the same level of competitiveness as the NBA, and it never will be. But, just try to remember what the level of play was like in the early days of the NBA.... it wasn't pretty. The WNBA will progress and will become more competitive, and I for one can't wait.
You know what's weird? I thought I would absolutely hate a female basketball league. I think the championships have something to do with my fondness. If they had the worst record in the league the past three years, I probably would not care for it at all. But, I am hooked and now a Comet fan for life. Woo Hoo!

Thanks to any and all for this forum. I am an avid Comets fan.
Tina T. is my favorite player despite all the "media players" on our team.
Yes, it never will encompass all the facets of the NBA, but (except for four singular Rocket's events) I have never felt more like a "real fan" than at a regular season Comets game.
I will personally refund the ticket price to any regular clutchcity.net poster who does not feel like they experienced a thoroughly exhilartating event while attending a Comets homegame.

Thanks Clutch
I started watching the Comets to wait for the College and NBA seasons to start. Now have become a big fan and really enjoy the play.

I'm glad to finally see this forum come into being. I've been following the Comets since the beginning (from Colorado, no less) and have become a big fan.
My favorite player had always been Kim Perrot (I'm not just being PC either, I promise, I've felt this way since the first season). Swoopes is amazing, Coop is unstoppable and Tina would be the #1 option on most teams but Kim was the most inspiring player on the court. She overcame any shortcomings she had as a player with hard work and sheer determination. Her energy and enthusiasm and that fierce "game face" always got me fired up (and her teammates as well).
Anyways, the Comets have got to be the best thing that could happen to this young league. I, like many of you, tuned in initially just because it was pro hoops over the summer - which is better than the alternatives (read: baseball :-P). Still, I had hopes that it would prove to be competitive and exciting and become truly the women's equivalent to the NBA (well, almost). In reality, it didn't look like it would be all that thrilling to watch at first.
However, the Comets' level of play is forcing the league to get better, and fast! The other teams will have to raise their level of play in a big hurry if anybody is to challenge the champs.
Until that happens, we should get to enjoy many more championships in Houston.

Thanks for the Comets forum, it's appreciated. Obviously there aren't as many fans of the Comets as there are the Rockets and it makes it harder to find intelligent conversation on the Comets so maybe a forum on as popular site as yours can bring the scattered fans together so to speak.
Great site as well, can't wait to see who Rudy's "mystery" signing might turn out to be. Crossing my fingers for Rashard Lewis.

Stop Foreclosure! If your house payments are more than a month behind, your lender has probably already started foreclosure proceedings. There are programs to help stop home foreclosure in Houston Texas regardless of your situation. With the right help, virtually any foreclosure situation can be successfully resolved to help the homeowner.
