chronicle paraphases Van's statements that no one at practice has stepped up to take the lead for the starting point guard position. i don't know about you guy's...but this concerns me. the chronicle is reporting that Tzekova did sign a new contract for about 35k ( a league insult ) and will report to camp as soon as her visa is approved ( which could be...who knows when! ). i take this to mean that Janeth will probably get the nod for the starting pg position. i hope Amaya is ready for sixth man duty...she got some big shoes to fill.

There is something wrong with a salary system that pays first-year players more than established players.
If I were Tsekova (?) or any player offered less money than a draft pick, with more experience than first-year players, and in Tsekova's situation, a contributor to a championship effort, I'd sue the league for an equity adjustment on salary.

i agree,...i know that average season ticket sales are only give/take a little around 5,000 league wide ( i think here in houston were at a little better than 7,000 last i heard anything about it ). i don't want to lose the league, like in the abl with salaries running around the six figures mark and the league fold up in less than three years, but i think the league could do a little better than their doing at the moment.

In Washington, things looked good attendance wise. For the Pre-season game they had a very active and full crowd. There was a lot of energy. I can't really guess how many were there, but I'd say at the very least 8,000!

Stop Foreclosure! If your house payments are more than a month behind, your lender has probably already started foreclosure proceedings. There are programs to help stop home foreclosure in Houston Texas regardless of your situation. With the right help, virtually any foreclosure situation can be successfully resolved to help the homeowner.
