http://www.ballislife.com/video/video/show?id=2030901:Video:162942 Austin Rivers crosses up the #1 pick John Wall and takes it to the rack for the lay-in, then goes back on D and picks John Wall which leads to the fast break dunk.
Austin Rivers is the #1 or #2 prospect high school basketball prospect. For those that don't know about him.. He's Doc Rivers' son.
rivers is good and wall is good, but overrated...and both are not that far apart in age...so this isnt that impressive, but i'm sure Rivers is more like curry as a player (high bball IQ and not all raw talent).

Rivers is a goin to be a Senior in highschool!, he hasn't even played college players or played potential NBA players in the summer league. So that's great what he did that's a highschooler picking a NBA number one overall pick!
in terms of years the difference of between 17 and almost 20 might not seem that great, but when you consider that wall already has a season of college bball and NBA summer league, workouts etc.. the gap becomes much larger. pretty impressive
Considering Rivers has been playing/working closely with NBA talent/trainers all his life [which includes his father] . . . the gap maybe lessened Rocket River
exactly, whatver rivers may lack in experience he can make up for it with his knowledge of the game, which i think surpasses Wall's easily...not to mention we're talking about a crossover and steal, two individual plays, not him leading or carrying his team for various games, or even this whole game possibly. If it a seasoned NBA all-star, a hall of famer, then it's big deal, but not someone who's one year removed from High School. Both plays say a lot about each player...wall is at a point in time where he uses his raw talent to get by, so he's not always ready , which is why he was caught sleeping and Rivers got him on a not-very-quick crossover. On the other end, Rivers shows his smarts on the court, anticipating Wall would try the same thing to get back at him and all he has to do is stick his hand out to get the steal.
i think its more about how the kid is a decent player and how wall is either over rated or atleast has a lot to learn and a ways to go...
Wall may be overrated but how does this video prove that? I guess LeBron getting dunked on by Jordan Crawford makes him overrated.
man clutchfans really love to hate. god it's so sad. one play defines a player, really? i guess yao must suck since he gets dunked on by scrubs sometimes. jeez.
