Just a heads up -- David Nuño told me that Rockets Vice President of Player Personnel, Gersson Rosas will be a guest on 1560 the Game today at 1:30pm (about 30 minutes away, for those in different time zones). Nuño said they're also taking calls.

Rosas is also the GM of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, so if you have player development/scouting questions, this is a good opportunity.

You can listen live at http://www.1560thegame.com

Thanks for the heads up Clutch. I'll be listening in for sure, expecting most of the calls to be about Melo lol.

I didn't catch the whole thing, but from what I heard, there were no call-in questions. Did I miss anything?

Right on. Sorry, I tuned in late and as much as I wanted to give you my full attention, the family decided for me that that just wasn't meant to be.

I heard:

- They have faith in Budinger for this year, despite the fact that he will be better scouted by the rivals in his 2nd year. One of the reasons of the trade.

- Talked about Llull. Rosas said he's athletic for his position, can defend 1-2-3s with good intensity. They expect he can be a rotational player in 2 years for the rockets (wait him).

- Talked about Spain, praised his job with the national team as well as with the formation of the new generation of guards.

I heard nothing about melo; maybe talked about him at first.

Puff/Nuno said that Rosas could not comment at all about anyone that is currently under contract with another team so no asking questions or anything about Melo or lets say Brian Cook (if for some ungodly reason they wanted to talk about him)

I would guess he can not comment on players under contract with another team.

Gersson must be making the radio show rounds. He was on either 610 or 790 earlier - stating the same info as above. Talked about how successful the Vipers org was - Harris was MVP of the league. They didn't win it all but came close.

Thanks for the heads up Clutch and the post by Nuno!

The information about Llul was interesting. I will be honest, I didn't notice him in the game against USA, but then I was half watching and half doing homework

Of course, I liked to hear the praise of Chuck. I have tried in the past not to get too caught up in the idea of him staying with the Rockets, but I really feel like there is no other team in the league who would appreciate him as much as they do.... so I'm starting to get a little too comfortable with the idea of him staying a Rocket (I shouldn't cause I know that's when Morey will strike and trade his butt)

So nice to have Rockets discussion in August!
