I'm still completely baffled by the contrast between the two moments: In the first, Kahn said he wasn't at liberty to discuss Jonny Flynn's hip because of HIPAA -- which certainly seemed like an unusual claim when it comes to professional sports. People talk injuries all the time, and Flynn's doesn't seem like a touchy issue for any particular reason. In the second, he let fly with the Beasley-smoke-too-much-weed thing. It just doesn't seem possible for the same person to say both those things inside of a few minutes. "I don't want to talk about what's for dinner, Mom's pretty sensitive about her meat loaf. On the flip side, my sister's a real slut, but she's trying to keep her pants on!" I mean....

Would be nice if this led to fewer interviews and a more measured approach to what he says. I am not hopeful in this regard.

I'm kind of astonished that they chose to fine him for that but not for calling Webber, an NBA employee, a penis.
