Eh, I'm tired of these guys dominating the media spotlight. I'm confident our boys can hold it down against any team whether they have one or two elite players.

Thank god its over and we can move on. Bosh never gave Morey a formal meeting and really had no interest in Houston. In the end the rockets were used as leverage for Bosh.

Sounds like brinksman ship on the part of both Bosh and Toronto. We'll see if it actually happens. In the end, it would seem like either party would have reason to back down and reach some sort of resolution.

Besides, players can't actually sign until midnight tonight. So there's time to negotiate further.

When did this happen? They lost 4-1 to the Celtics this year. The new Heat are far from being a contender right now even with Wade and Bosh.

One never knows what it's good for. We might be better off that way.

It will be more satisfying beating a team with James, Wade and Bosh in the finals

Bosh was garbage, did not want anyway. Give Chuck the $100 million instead. He deserves it more.

How did he challenge the Celtics the series was 4-1(they almost swept his team), and are you serious about that last statement, what about the 7'1 guy that came over from LA and the great supporting cast on the 2006 Heat roster had ... SMH

The reason I don't think they're going to be a championship contender is that all they will be able to sign in terms of role players (with the signing of Wade and Bosh) will be marginal players on cheap contracts. And I think as Houston fans we all know what happens when you surround two star players with sucky role players...

Without LeBron Miami have the cap space to fill the roster with decent players.

    Chalmers, Felton
    Wade
    Beasley, M.Miller/J.Childress
    Bosh, Haslem
    Haywood/B.Miller

I'm listening to the Jorge Sedano show in Miami talking about it right now.

With Bosh not coming to Houston, now we must hope Lebron doesn't pull a fast one and cuts a deal to go to the Knicks. That would be a bad offseason. I see Morey making a trade of some kind in the near future.

[ESPN] Source: Bosh to join Wade, Heat

    By Chris Broussard
    ESPN The Magazine
    Archive

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are teaming up together on the Miami Heat, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.

Whether LeBron James, the kingpin of this summer's celebrated free agent class, will join them remains to be seen. James will announce his decision Thursday night at 9 ET during a one-hour special on ESPN.

Wade and Bosh are expected to announce their decision on Wednesday, according to the source.

James or not, the Heat could emerge as one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference with Wade and Bosh aboard. Wade, who led the Heat to the NBA title in 2006, is re-signing with the club, while Bosh will leave the Toronto Raptors after seven years with the club.

Both players are expected to get the maximum amount allowable under the league's collective bargaining agreement, though the addition of James could change the players' salaries. Contracts cannot be officially signed until July 8.

It was not immediately clear whether Bosh will sign with Miami outright or join the Heat through a sign-and-trade deal. Bosh could earn $125 million over six years via sign-and-trade, but only $96 million over five without it.

"Either way, he's definitely going to Miami," the source said.

Chris Broussard is an NBA writer for ESPN The Magazine.
