So it appears that the Grizzlies are urging the Magic to send the Rockets the 18th pick so that they do not have to convey their most likely high pick next year.
If the Magic do indeed convey the 18th pick, the Rockets should send it to Vancouver along with the 13th or 22nd pick for the 6th pick. With that high of a pick the Rockets could pick up Battier, Johnson, or another good player. The Rockets could even trade the pick attatched along with Cato to a team desperate to get higher in the draft. Either way, if the Rockets do get to the position where they are the only ones who can save the Grizzlies' bacon, then Rudy T, and CD need to get as much as they can. ------------------ |
