SpearsNBAYahoo Bucks land forward Corey Maggette from Warriors for guard Charlie Bell and center Dan Gadzuric, NBA source tells Y! Sports has learned
I think its a good move for the Warriors. Maggette has clearly fell out of favor there and they save $17 mil in the long run.
If we're just talking about what team got better then the Bucks are the clear winner here, I believe they will be absolutely sick next year.
I thought Redd has a player option? If that is the case, and he's being paid like 15 mil this year, he isn't opting out. If I'm incorrect and it's a team option, and he can still play well in short minutes, I'd love to have him backup K-Mart. Ray Allen would be another choice as well.
Oh yeah I definitely think the Bucks got better, but I think the Warriors just wanted to dump his salary.
Salmons is apparently going to opt out, which is probably part of the reason the Bucks make this move. Maggette's a decent enough piece to help out Jennings and Bogut, I imagine he'll put up numbers there. And surprise surprise, Golden State gets a 6-3 comboish guard. Bell is getting $8m over the next 2 years, so Milwaukee is at least getting rid of that. Gadzuric really fell off this past year, but he's an expiring contract.
great move by both teams warriors get rid of his contract w/o having to give up any draft picks bucks get some needed scoring despite his bad contract, he is just what the bucks needed esp if Salmons leaves this offseason. Maggette can play both sides of the ball when he wants too. Hopefully Skiles can get through to him
he isn't going to be backing up anybody. trading kmart and replacing him with redd sure sounds like a nice option though.
Dude, I would rep you everyday if I could! You are freaking everywhere, dropping news. Did you clone yourself? You are an asset to this site Pretty good deal for both teams IMO
Agreed, I have no idea what the Warriors or going to do now though, what is their direction as a team, and they just got WORSE defensively.
