Actually her role as Georgia Sykes was suppose to be a lesbian but in the film it never really portray her that way. Could be her or the director's decision.

I don't believe in gaydar. My gay sister has gotten us into some rather embarassing situations on vacations by asking about gay bars and art studios to people who were quick to tell her that they were straight. I think that gay people can pick out other gay people about as well as pot heads can find dealers. That being said: This Chely Wright woman is hot, and she's hardly the gayest country act. (And it's not k.d. lang, either.) The gayest country act has to be Lone Star.

Country singer Chely Wright has a new book coming out this week. The memoir “Like Me: Confessions of a Hearthland Country Singer” will be released on Tuesday May 4 and we are told that the 288 page hardcover Random House offering will reveal that Wright is a lesbian.
