How does this show not have a thread?

Love the show. Absolutely love it. But more importantly, the music is amazing. AllAboutJazz is raving about it as well.

I'm curious to see how Non New Orleanians or people who are at least really familiar with New Orleans like it. There were a lot of little things that they got spot on about the city that made it great.

Watching that trailer really brought back some memories after being there a few months after Katrina. The place was surreal with parts of it looking like a post apocalyptic wasteland.

I'm definately going to try to catch the show.

The show made me laugh when at a funeral they were laughing about the guy who died... They asked how did he die, and the response he got shot in Houston off Telephone road.

Also in the preview for next week. One of the characters says there is no more crime in New Orleans it all relocated to Houston.

One of the writers has been around Telephone Road! Wonder if he/she ate at the Tel-Wink Grill?

One think I learned from watching the premiere, not one musician in New Orleans has a case to put his instrument it. Antoine (the bone player) is always riding in cabs and never has a case for his trombone. Albert has his drive him to New Orleans and he doesn't have a case or gig bag for his bass. Likewise, his son, Delmond, randomly leaves the Blue Note in NYC to take a phone call and takes his trumpet out with him for no apparent reason other than to establish that he's a musician as well.

yes it really was genuine down to its core, from the spirit of the people to the dialect, they got it down pat.

I like the show.. but it seems like it would do well as a 10 part miniseries. I mean based on the concept, is there enough material here to span 4 or 5 seasons?
