Some kind of way, I want the Spurs to finish 8th and get the Lakers. But winning tonight at Denver makes that more unlikely. I normally hate watching the Spurs and Mavs play but their game on Wednesday might be a "can't miss". Now the Blazers need a win over the Lakers in LA tomorrow just to keep pace.

Rarely have the final 2-3 games of the regular season meant so much to so many teams. In the west, 4 teams are battling for the coveted #2 seed while 3 are battling not to finish 8th. Most of the time I'm sick and tired of the regular season by now and want the playoffs to start. This year, I'm gonna enjoy every game including the finale with Phoenix at Utah Wednesday on ESPN.
