Am I missing something? During his 191 NBA games, Brooks has never made the clutch shot.

No offense, just notice this and hope Brooks can realize this and improve it.

What about the drive around Shaq last year for the layout at the end? Or those big shots late in game 2 against portland.

No, I think you have it confused with the old, old wooden ship used in the Medieval era.

In that case, shame on Brooks for not ever hitting a wooden ship in the last few seconds....??

I think you mean in terms of free throws. I have to agree with you somewhat. Not only Brooks, but when Landry was still here, he missed a couple clutch freethrows against Minnesota (the game where Brewer his that 3/4 court shot). I think most good free throw shooters shoot worse when the game is on the line. A name that pops into my head immediately is Pau Gasol. I've seen him miss countless free throws in late game situations, and he's an excellent overall freethrow shooter.

Happens to the best of them. Only few exceptions seem to be: Nash, Billups, Kobe, etc.

I think you mean, it happens to everyone EXCEPT the best of them. That's what seperates the great from the rest.

Well as Luther Head once said "you always miss 100% of the shots you don't take" it was a good shot but sometimes misses are inevitable.

The problem is Brooks has to be clutch only from range, which takes half of his game away. If a defender knows the fouls are less likely to be called in the last minutes, he can play Brooks extra tight to prevent the pull up, and not worry about getting blown past. At least earlier in this season, all his last possession drives he gets fouled with no whistle. He should still have hit those FTs though.

News at 11:

Aaron Brooks is not a 100% free throw shooter or a 100% three point shooter!
