Do these picks have to the the Knicks own picks or can they acquire another pick from another team to fulfill this obligation?

These are the Knicks picks that the Rockets can/will receive. Period.

A question about the two 2nd round picks in 2015, but each team only gets one 2nd round pick. Do the Rockets get both 2015 and a 2016 2nd draft picks?

Hmm, good question ... I dug pretty deep on it but stopped after I got that last detail, so shoot -- I don't know the exact terms of the second round picks... just that the first round pick obligation becomes two second rounders after 4 straight years of 1-5 protection.

	if we did end up with 2 of the Knicks 2nd round picks then the Knicks would have to be the worst drafting team in history....If they cant get good players to raise their standing in 4 seasons of high drafting they are doomed... __________________ ------================------ Australian Rockets fan since '92

Thanks for the article Clutch.

Morey constructed those stipulations beautifully. He's banking that the Knicks will be an also ran team in the upcoming years, but not bad enough to be the worst team to get the most ping pongs in 2011, and improved enough in 2012 to be in the lower half of the lottery. All for just letting them dump Jared Jeffries' contract on us. And Morey made Donnie throw in the equivalent to a parking validation payment to boot (ie. Jordan Hill). And we still got under the luxury tax.

There was really no gamble here in the Knicks deal since we got the player Morey wanted along in Kevin Martin, those are just bonuses.
