When the Rockets are putting up highlights like this, maybe there should just be one thread for them... but here's Trevor Ariza's move and slam against the Grizzlies. I did not expect him to go left on Gasol there -- not sure how he found a seam. <object width="640" height="505"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6mqdCRDs0zc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6mqdCRDs0zc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="505"></embed></object>
Are you saying Ariza has trouble splitting double team? Shocking!!! I cringe everytime he does that, lol.
Nice dunk, nicer slash through the defenders Not that it matters here, was discussed in the NBA Dish about uncalled travels... Notice right as Ariza catches the ball all those little shuffle steps he takes without dribbling (4 second mark). There's at least 4 steps, thats traveling They never call that in the NBA, though
I have been one of Trevor's harshest critics on this board, but I will give him props tonight. If only for once, Trevor played a great game today. Might have forced one or two bad shots, but overall played within his game and within the flow of the offense and for once, it didn't feel like he was hurting the team while out there. So props to Trevor for a great game, and I hope he plays like this more often. I think the best part is that he seems to have finally learned that his outside shot is one of his greatest weaknesses and he is clearly more purposeful in driving to the basket when he gets the ball.
