I have installed code for these apps to be utilized on my vbulletins sports forum. Maybe Clutch can install these for Clutchfans as well. They are free for the forum owner and Android and BB apps are free. Iphone has to pay though. Tapatalk for Android and Iphone use-- http://www.tapatalk.com/ Berryblab for blackberry users-- http://www.berryblab.com
There has to be more people interested in viewing the forums on their Crackberries, Android phones, or iPhones...
im all for it. the only way i usually can get on clutchfans is on my g1, but it kills my battery super fast. if it were an actual app, im sure it would load a lot better on my phone and a lot quicker.
Download the app already and browse through the websites that are already on it. My forums is there. I'm not trying to spam my site, but search any to see how it is used.
I was considering putting this in the hangout, but I didn't want to have place it in the wrong forums. I also didn't want to duplicate a thread in different forums. Forum no-no
What will this do for my iphone if I buy it? I access clutch from my iphone on a daily basis and have no issues, but if it helps in any way i'm down.
For tapatalk, the forum owner has to enable it by adding their free plug-in and it allows for a simpler interface with quicker loading and navigation through the app. There's a free read-only app available on iPhone, the full version which allows posting costs $2.99. The full Android version is in beta and is available on the Android Market; I suggest you download the full beat now if you want the full access for free. The BlackBerry version hasn't been released yet, but should be out in February. I've tried it on my G1 with the TexansTalk forums which has it enabled and it seems to work pretty well. Going through the browser also works fine, but if Clutch can add this it'd be awesome. Tapatalk Forum Owner info I say just ignore the BerryBlab thing since tapatalk will support BB too soon.
You don't, but it puts the forum in a format thats easier to navigate and read on the device. Accessing the forums through the browser is slower because you view the full site, instead of a stripped down mobile version of it. It isn't formatted to fit on the screen.
Will this improve my BBS iPhone experience? Because right now it's a pain just to read, much less write from the damn thing. My main complaint is just reading the site. I'm constantly enlarging type, shrinking type, moving type... it is a royal pain in the butt. Some online sites with cell phone software are wonderfully easy. The Washington Post, for example, has great software that makes it easy to read and scroll through. Does this thingy do that for the BBS, FT?
I just put it on my iPod touch and it's very nice. Loads fast, fairly easy to navigate. No search function yet. I would love to see CF.net on there. Falcons Talon, thanks for bringing it up.
